In an unscripted moment during the State of the Union speech Tuesday, U.S. President Barack Obama silenced derisive applause from hecklers who cheered when he said “I have no more campaigns to run.”

One of the concluding sections of Obama’s speech was supposed to end with:

“That’s a better politics. That’s how we start rebuilding trust. That’s how we move this country forward. That’s what the American people want. That’s what they deserve. I have no more campaigns to run.”

As Obama attempted to proceed to the next sentence following “I have no more campaigns to run” Republicans delivered a thunderous round of applause.

Obama quickly fired back with an impromptu response that garnered an equally positive response from Democrats in attendance.
