Just watched Question Time with Russell Brand and Nigel Farage.
During the few days since it was shown on TV I have been quickly looking through the comments in several newspapers regarding these two protagonists.
The two right wing papers I read were more concerned by the hairs on Mr Brands chest then on words he spoke. They also made him out to be a bumbling clown with nothing to say except ‘revolutionary twaddle’.
The two left of centre papers reported the program were more conciliatory.
Having watched the program I wonder if the reporters from the right leaning papers actually watched the program. Farage had little to say that he hadn’t already, but sat with a smirk on his face all evening. Whereas Brand, who I thought would be embarrassing, given what the newspapers had said, spoke with passion and intelligence. And the ‘revolutionary twaddle’ was all about things…
